] Just wondering--we all seem so vicious in our support or hatred of the two Emma versions--do we prefer the version we saw first--regardless of which version it was. I know I prefer Emma3, but I saw it first, then read the book, then saw Emma2. I don't know anyone irl who saw Emma2 then Emma3.

Well, I'm new here, too. I guess we all have our first times. ;)

I saw Emma2 in the theater last year, and saw Emma3 when it aired on A&E in February. I really enjoyed them both, and I don't know that I can say I really favor one over the other. Heavens, I hope that doesn't make me sound too shallow.

I will say that there are parts of each version that I like better than the other, but really, I think they were both extremely well done and I have enjoyed watching each more than once. (And I am actually planning to buy the videos for both.)

As one who does not ardently support one version over the other, I will say I have really enjoyed reading the views expressed here. I can see that people defend their particular favorites rather keenly, but I wouldn't say it is vicious. Just good, spirited discourse; what one would expect in a civilized society. ;)
