] ] I'm new here--first post ever.
] ] Just wondering--we all seem so vicious in our support or hatred of the two Emma versions--do we prefer the version we saw first--regardless of which version it was. I know I prefer Emma3, but I saw it first, then read the book, then saw Emma2. I don't know anyone irl who saw Emma2 then Emma3.

] I hope we're not so much vicious as strongly partisan(!) in our support of one version or the other. Part of the difference of opinion is in the scripts, and part is in the casting, and part is in how we read the novel itself. And, lastly, part of the difference is the differences among us as people.
] I read the book first (about 20 times I suppose), then saw Emma2, then saw Emma1, then saw Emma3. Emma3 is my favorite, but I also like the other two. In fact, I saw Emma2 in the theater 8 times in three weeks. (I haven't purchased the video yet -- but I will when I see it for sale at a decent price.)
NONSENSICAL GIRL!(i usually buy the video, then watch it 8 times)notice i think it's o.k. to read the book 20 times.
