] ] I liked the montage during the rainy day scene too, greg. One of my favorites was the day dream or dream about Mr Knightley marrying Harriet -- the look of triumph on Harriet's face is priceless (and so out of character for Harriet), that you can understand Emma waking up with a start! Emma's imagining how Mr Dixon's rescue of Jane occurred is also good. (Besides, who wouldn't try to daydream while listening to Miss Bates!)

yeah, i know what you mean, cindy, that dream kinda set me back when i first saw it. but maybe they needed to go a little over-the-top for the average viewer, to set the tone as it were "hey, don't take this as masterpiece theater, this is a cute comedy". after all, some have complained that emma3 was too dark and not humorous enough. btw - that "darkness" of the interiors vis-a-vis emma2 - that was authenticity to me. i like the fact that cameras are good enough now to film in more natural interior settings. we don't need retro sound-stage lighting as in some of the emma2 scenes.(although a little more(less authentic?) color in the costumes might be welcome.)
