] i'm still very intrigued about how mr. k finally got his girl(ref. para. near end of book starting with "when first sounded on the subject..."): emma "...could not proceed" even after the 2 knightley's had a real sit-down w/ her! in my earlier comment i should have emphasized the word "ingenuity", as, after re-reading the ending, i can imagine i'd have used MY ingenuity to resolve this most serious problem. is anyone else inclined to believe(as i now do) that the k brothers certainly conspired to get emma in church by no later than the end of october?

The strength, resolution, and prsence of mind of the Mr. Knightleys commanded his fullest dependence.
