] Indeed it is...but unlike Betsy's or Margie's teachers, the woman who taught ME P&P had little appreciation for the fun in the novel. I guess it figures - she's a Jane Eyre fan. ;-)
My husband thinks Moby Dick is a terrifically funny book. When he was in high school he wrote a paper about the humor in the novel. He said it startled the daylights out of the teacher, who didn't find anything funny in it at all. Well, there's no disputing hobbyhorses.
