Sorry, I'm sure this has all been discussed before. I really enjoy reading Emma. For some reason I've tended to underestimate it each time I've read it (only twice), and always enjoy it very much.
THanks for going on record with your opinions - very well-stated! I must say, however, that there's a pretty even split between preferences.
As for the book - it's full of twists and surprises no matter how many times you've read it. That's the beauty of the original novel - no matter how predictable the films get, the book is always fresh! Now that you've re-read, will you share some of your new insights with us?
