I havn't read any of the Emma sequals, but I read two P&P sequals by Emma Tennant, and they were horrible. She completly missed the characters personalities.

I cursorily glanced at "Emma in Love," and man, it was SO devoid of authentic characterizations and plot logic I laughed myself out of the book store. Emma Tennant wastes what little writing talent she posesses in such fantastically wrong stories it's a wonder she continues to write at all! ;-) Her publishers must not get the fact that people read Austen sequels because they loved the characters and the mood created by the original and want more of the same. Certainly, their quest for the definite austen sequel might be fruitless, but Tennant isnt' even in the ballpark. What kind of moron would try wooing vegetarians with roast turkey?
