] Does anyone know anything about plans for a BBC-TV miniseries of EMMA? I've heard rumbles about that as well as a MANSFIELD PARK. The names of Emma Thompson and Fay Weldon have been bandied about as possible screenwriters.
The people at the BBC emailed me to say that they'd had a new Emma in the works, but canned it once they knew that Miramax and ITV were coming out with their own versions. There are no plans to revive it in the near future.
