I liked Emma 2 far more than Emma 3 (Kate B. smirks too much for my taste- and I hated, really hated, the hats throughout). The accents didn't bother me, nor did the fit of the costumes. I think that version of Emma caught the humor and spirit of the story better than any other JA adaptation ever.

Kathleen, always the odd one out

p.s. however, one thing I did particularly like about Emma 3 was the bit of background filler about the servants (the struggle up Box Hill, for example)-though those touches were born, I think, of the 90's PC Mindset, since no mention is made of the servants'lives in the written version.
