Thank you for saying it! She seemed to be concentrating so hard on the accent that she couldn't relax in the role. She did a middling job, but her intonation was so stilted by comparison to the British actors that she sounded artificial. Compare her with Greta Scacchi in any scene where the two are together. It's like a professional (GS) versus the lead in a high school production (GP). IMO, she got credit from people just for trying, but she hurt the film overall. I wish directors wouldn't go in for stunt casting.
