I think the use of dichotomous terms in the title fits the novel's various ironic situations very well. Everyone has trouble facing the truth in some way or another, yet everyone also fancies him or herself in possession of superior knowledge of human nature.


Yes, everyone, very delightful! Although I agree that "Emma" is useful in leading us to think only of her, here are a couple from me:
