English? This has been bothering me about Emma2

] Paltrow can't act to save herself and her token effort in trying to be English amuses me. Northam as the lead token English actor is mediocre. The rest of the cast do a fair job but it lacks depth.
(At least the majority of the cast weren't Americans pretending to be English as Paltrow was).
All right, I have been saving this for myself, but now it's out in the open and I must ask. Why is Gwyneth the only cast member who ever gets picked on for her accent? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Toni Colette was Australian! And I thought Ewan MacGregor was Scottish! Frankly, Ewan's Mr. Churchill was much more stilted and unnatural than Gwyneth's Emma ever was!
Is this some kind of "Eew, an American thinks they sound British" thing? Please tell me it's not!
