] Right near the beginning of Emma 2, after the wedding when the Woodhouses are dining, and before Knightley appears, Mr. Woodhouse says to Emma something like:

"Your mother could be no less real than Miss Taylor".
What on earth does that mean????

I assumed Mr Woodhouse was saying that Miss Taylor was like a mother to Emma (and Emma like a daughter to Miss Taylor), so why would Miss Taylor want children of her own.
