] If I were to pick the adaptation that made the better movie, I'd argue for Clueless. It was contemporary, funny, had appealing actors and fit the 2 hr attention span of most moviegoers. My husband, for one. I have never been able to get him to watch any of the JA adaptations, but he absolutely enjoyed Clueless. Who can account for taste, anyway! ;-)

i was amused but not surprised that your mate would only watch clueless, sylvia. i'm sure he's at least as intelligent as yourself, but must, like me, struggle to overcome his hormonal handicaps. i think you've been more understanding than i would be if my caro esposo(or is it esposa in my case) refused to grant ja a viewing!
