I, too, just finished watching Emma3 (thanks to Tower Video!) I enjoyed the casting of most of the characters and by the end of my second viewing I was half determined to watch one after another just to decide which one left what in and which one left what out - whew!
As regards Mr. Knightley - I'm not sure why Emma loved him, since he spent 99% of his time onscreen yelling at her, but I tend to feel Mark Strong was in fact more age-appropriate. I don't want to anger anyone, though, since I prefer Jeremy, faults and all.
And what did you think of Kate Beckinsale? btw, have you seen Cold Comfort Farm?
