] ] There's an unabridged version read by Prunella Scales available from JA Books...it's some fourteen hours or so. . . .

] According to the JABooks catalogue, that's a Cover to Cover tape version. I have an older version from them read by Jean Lapotaire, another British actress. I highly recommend the Cover to Cover audios -- the actresses really do a great job of presenting the differenct characters, even changing voice when reading any letter.

Cover to Cover Audios are very good! I prefer unabridged versions----in fact, I don't even bother with any other....well, might make an exception with an abridged editon if JN or AR is reading it. Or CF....or...CH...or..!! :-) __On the BBC presents tapes....I have listened to the Emma ed. and liked it....it's more like a radio play, and just another way to present the book, though it is not the book. If you like radio plays, it's enjoyable.______
