Well, since my opinions have been supplicated...:)
People say Emma didn't have enough depth to be nominated for any of the major Oscars. But First of all, Jerry Maguire has NO depth. It is a comedy, and one that is very sports and guy-geared. Next up, many of the other films up for best pic were also comedies. Emma is a literary classic, the acting was supurb, and it deserves to be thought of as more than a chick flic. And best score and best costume doesn't cut it!
