] I`m sorry to disagree with you, but I thought last year`s Oscars were much more pathetic. Fargo is a very good sort of movie and TEP even more so. Fargo may be a whole lot of things, but it isnīt dumb and Iīm glad Frances MacDormand won for her role. She was realistic and endearing.
] My only sorrw is that Brenda Blethyn couldn`t win it too. Secrets and Lies was one of the best films I`ve seen in a long time.
Although I do love Emma to bits, if I really think about it all (disregarding my terrible partiality for Emma!) I have to agree. Secrets and Lies I haven't seen, but TEP was really really good. Fargo, too, was good. And I think I agree with Kali in saying that, as much as I truly love Emma, it didn't really deserve to be in with the others. I hope this doesn't sound like I'm contradicting myself...
