] Thank you kali and kathy. I mostly watch the movie and have only half heartedly read the book once. They don't say that he has loved her since she was 13 in the movie. I ought to read the book heartedly to pick up the little things.

Buy a cheap copy and underline, underline, underline! You'll be amazed at the little things you pick up! (I suggest having different colors for different people: pink for Emma, blue for Mr. Knightley, GREEN for the Eltons--it matches them, don't you think? :-D, purple for....)
