] »GRIN«---well, nothing was farthest from my mind than sounding like Scrooge! I am Portuguese, so please take into account that English is not my mother tongue. ;-) If I use some odd expressions, I am translating directly from my language. OK?

] Well, I am no expert on Emma2 (nor want to be), so I can`t really remember the scene. Or are you talking about Emma3, in which Knightley blows his top? I also thought he looked too angry in that one; it`s positively frightening. I think they could have told Mark Strong to take it less STRONGLY! And it surprises me that Mr Weston looks so happy, while Knightley is talking ill of Frank...strange. A bit of discomposure for his son´s sake could have been more believable.
I interpreted Knightley's anger being based on jealousy and being irked at all the attention the infamous FC was receiving (IMHO). I think that Mr. Weston realized Knightley's affection/love for Emma and was enjoying Knightley's discomfort. Not having read the book completely, yet, this is all an assumption, on my part, from my viewing of the movie.
