One of the reasons I like Mark Strong so much as Knightley is that he seems very angry and aggressive at times. I know Jane Austen probably envisioned him as the perfect gentleman, but I find it very stimulating-when I first saw the series, it seemed almost as if he were about to hit Emma at times, it`s a bit scary, but at the same time very human and believable. And of course the friction adds to the chemistry between those two.
