] There is one thing that has always bugged me about the Westons marriage . Why isnt't Mr. Knightley there?
Weddings were not the big productions they are today. During the time period it was the height of fashion to have a simple and quiet wedding. If he was due to be out of town, then he would not have changed his plans just for a wedding. More important would be making the proper visits to the new bride.
