] ] Oh lord. We've become The Establishment. Now how and when did that happen when only a few months ago we were AUSTEN-L renegades?
] As I said in the post below, I don't know how we should handle an Emma or a P&P read; that does not mean we shouldn't have one! In fact, I think the time has come. Lady Susan is fairly short and we have extra time before the JE read begins. Perhaps it wouldn't detract too much from LS to have Emma going at the same time on this board.
] As for complaints about the management of these boards, please keep in mind that we are a bunch of volenteers who are very interested in making this place be what people want it to be. We are not, however, mindreaders. Suggestions and preferences are always welcome and can be posted on the business board at any time. We always take suggestions very seriously and welcome discussions about site management; though, there might be good reasons why we might not follow every suggestion we receive. If you have a complaint or suggestion, please don't sit and brood on it, but let us know about it. We can't make Pemberley become what people want, if we do not know what people want.
] Thanks,
] Ann

I had no intention of making this a revolution. I just think if a group of people want to read something, they shouldn't have to check first with "Pemberley." That's all. I appreciate your volunteerism. I have done my share with other groups and understand how important your time is. That doesn't mean that "Pemberley" is the end all and be all of the Jane Austen kingdom. I have my own schedule too -- and if I want to read "Emma" now instead of 2 weeks from now, that should not be an issue.
Strictly my opinon - but again, anyone wanting to read "Emma" now - let me know. I would enjoy reading it along with you.
