] Kathy, at the Republic of Pemberley we already have a group read calendar, which is no longer set to the same schedule as AUSTEN-L. Becuase of this, some of our posters will be involved in as many as TWO Austen group reads at once. As our ROP group read to start on July 20th is _Lady Susan_ - a very short work. I recommend that we vote for _Emma_ to be our next read in this forum, so that we may all read together. As always, everyone should read _Emma_ as early as often as they like...but as far as an official "group read," let's wait for everyone else. ;-)

________

I was wondering what we should do with P&P and Emma Group Reads. I think they would be very enjoyable and that we should do them, but on what board? Should we have discussions dupicated on the novel-dedicated boards and in the Library, or should we just put the read on the novel-dedicated boards and let the Library go relatively dormant during a P&P or Emma read (it would continue to be a place to discuss other Austens). I don't know.

As for Lady Susan, I didn't realise it was only 50 pages. We have 2 months to read it, so I'm thinking of trying to squeeze in both Lady S and NA. I have also received a suggestion of reading some Cowper poetry together.
