] That was the 1980 version done by the BBC, with Elizabeth Garvie and David Rintoul. It's been resurrected for Masterpiece Theatre at least twice...I saw it on PBS in 1985.

i'm sorry, but I would like to contradict your statement that David Rintuol portrayed Mr. Darcy better than Colin Firth. I have watched Mr. Firth as Mr. Darcy many times over again, and still to this day, can not, find a better portrayal of this character.
