but i see what you mean about "number of people who agree with the statement". perhaps i was unclear: i'd welcome any more arguments on the point, the strength of which may be convincing of their validity. i wasn't surprised that you made the argument, although it was no less convincing for it ;-)
] believe me, if i thought kb was even the least bit banal in her performance, i would admit it. just can't see it; if kb is banal, then so is emma woodhouse, 'cause kb isew to me.

Emma Woodhouse is Emma Woodhouse-greg. And as for KB,as an actress, I think she is the emotional equivalent of the floor. Her "I love you. I think I always have." was lethargic. Emma is supposed to have woken up by that time. GP was much more in keeping with my impressions. She was charming, playful, and touching. Her "I love him. So dearly, so greatly.." was sincere and heartbreaking. She is an instinctively emotional actress.
