I have been actually reading (as opposed to just looking at the pictures) ;-) my "Making of Emma" (3)

I was amused that James Hazeldine (Mr. Weston) has previously directed a show "Absent Friends." His toast on Christmas Eve, which is not written in the screenplay, is made "to absent friends"
Cute.

ks to P&P2 and Much Ado About Nothing so that I can have a bit of variety. Lately I've been listening to my Emma audiobook in the car while on long drives for work so I've deffinetly been in a JA state of mind, and I can think of worse places to be! :-)

KB!!! ;-)

________

very good points luisa. no matter what one thinks about the writing/directing of emma3 vs. emma2, will anyone argue that gwyneth paltrow's acting is in the same league as kb's? indeed, i'd say that kb's so good for someone so young that she's almost in a class by herself. gp seemed to me to be clearly straining at the accent/emotions at times, which made me feel sorry for her because it was truly a heroic and admirable performance. p.s. just got the emma2 cd; i listen to it on my computer, in my car, even on my portable player in bed at night. does that mean i've finally snapped, or does it just mean that i try not to think about emma2 at dinner, in the garden, and even when i go to bed at night? something has got to be done!
