Rev. Austen died in 1805 and, in 1806, Mrs. Austen, Jane and Cassandra left Bath to visit Adlestrop and Stoneleigh.
Southampton
The Austens stayed in Southampton until 1809.
Chawton
In 1809, Mrs. Austen, Jane and Cassandra moved to Chawton, into a house provided by Jane's brother Edward.

In 1817, her health failing, Jane travelled with Cassandra to Winchester to seek medical attention.
Winchester Cathedral
Jane Austen died at 8 College Street in Winchester in 1817 and is buried in Winchester Cathedral.
