I enjoy my dog and trimming hats. My hobbies include finding appropriate wives for my brothers, making life miserable for my mother-in-law, counting the silverware and making sure my husband adopts the correct point of view (mine). I dislike annuities, young ladies who pretend to more exalted positions than they deserve

I am exceedingly well-favoured (or so continuous consultation with my mirror tells me). I reflect well upon myself. I like using upholstery fabric for clothing. I have a daughter who is very like me. I have no money management skills. I dislike farmers, sailors, bad complexions and being snubbed by my connections (Please, God, do not let them snub me).

The only book is the Debrett's Baronetage and Peerage. I haven't much use for other books

I am a proud mother and I must say that is not my fault that people insist on spoiling my children with cake. I am particularly fond of ham(with mustard if possible). I am as fond of a good walk as anybody. I enjoy the company of my elder sister. I am particular of the company I keep for I have a standing in the community to maintain.
