in consequence of the missive, FOYLE'S WAR: Sad to see it go :-( (Spoilers), penned by Terry R
I too am sorry to see Foyle's War ending - is it coming back do we know? Only 3 episodes but wow they were great.
I did find myself wanting to get back to the Nazi storyline in this one and away from Sam's husband, but that is because Foyle/Sam are just so delicious to watch I could've spent the whole episode following them.
So happy for Sam - when she was at the doctor, I didn't think it was good news so I was surprised.
The Nazi was properly menacing, the flashbacks brutal and gripping, and Michael Kitchen was his usual understated acting excellent.
Thank goodness for Netflix and the back catalog of Foyle's War, I am still catching up on some missed episodes.
But - why didn't the professor's housemates turn him in, or take revenge once they figured out he was a former Nazi officer? Why didn't they notify anyone they found his service record in his room? (as far as they knew, he was a Nazi impersonating a Dutch professor - wouldn't you have to notify someone?)
