Senior Ladies   Written by BarbaraB (3/4/2013 1:50 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Last night's "Project Runway" (spoilers), penned by Sarah Hannah [Back to Board]
Are you new?

Well, I agree, it should have been fun but there was a great deal of struggling. I wish they would give an extra day for real-women challenges. The designers just seem to need the extra time to adjust to different body types so they can come up with better fitting garments. For the most part, what a travesty.

Michelle-I thought her dress was really nice. It's the first thing she's made that I can recall being something I have really thought worthy of her constant griping that she's a good designer if only her group...

Patricia-The colors were great but the outfit looked thrown together. I went back and looked at her 'before runway' pieces and they were really nice. Her use of that frayed fringe on a couple of her garments looked really beautiful especially the 3 tiered outfit with the feather design on the top. As I've probably said, I love the way she can manipulate fabrics and things to make them into something unique. I sympathize with her backstory of her husband making her choose between her career as a designer and her marriage. I just wish I could see her real potential in the results of the show. If she can't step it up really fast, I see her going really quickly unless she keeps being lucky enough to get a good group.

Richard-A mess in my opinion. I think the design was a basically good one but the execution: yes, a shapeless sack.

Stanley-Great outfit...the right person won.

Samantha-Really liked her dress. The only thing I would have changed were the sleeves to either no sleeves or something more ordinary. Loved the colors.

Kate-Really liked her dress.

Tu-Great color for his client but then another mess.

Amanda-Awful

Layana-Okay

Daniel-Nice, I liked it.

Benjamin-I thought he had the most difficult body shape to work with. The dress was yet another mess.

Benjamin and Amanda's outfits were about equally terrible in my opinion. If I were choosing, I would have kept Benjamin over Amanda.

Let's hope for better this coming Thursday.
