Well...our mileage varies then Written by Ramya (2/20/2013 8:47 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Killing Sybil and Mathews inheriting, penned by bridget D

Why should they write out Tom's character just because the actress playing Sybil wanted out?? This story's main focus is always going to be Downton itself. Having Tom working in London and baby Sybil also away from Downton does not make sense if they want to include him in the main story. And Tom certainly was not the kind of person to let his rich snooty relatives bring up his daughter who was also the only thing he had left of his beloved wife.
