She's never been a favorite of mine but I do wonder what she'll do with Matthew gone. Will she and Mary grow closer over their loss? Or will she feel ostracized by the family without Matthew there as her mainstay? I also wonder if she might not rethink her attitude toward Dr. Clarkson. Perhaps her loneliness will inspire her to reconsider remarriage.
