I liked Branson in this episode . . . and the sight of him shirtless didn't hurt one bit. I agree . . . the maid was flirting with him . . . not him with her. Frankly, I don't think he had any interest in her . . . but, he was alone in the house and probably feeling very lonely with the family in Scotland and not being downstairs.

The scene between him and Mrs. Hughes was beautiful. I wanted to step through the screen and hold him until he felt better no matter how long that took.

I like the potential for story lines for him in the next season . . . and I also agree his 'tween stairs role is an interesting component going forward. I think it could be used well to reflect the changes in society in the 1920's.
