and I have to admit that I didn't know Elie Tahari was a man. I just thought Elie was a different spelling for Ellie, nickname for Eleanor. So, that was interesting., His backstory was very inspirational, and his manner of talking with the designers was helpful and humble.
I wish Uli's dress had won. It was beautiful. The judges totally gushed over it, then they didn't pick it as the winner. ??? Totally agree about the "Anthony Ryan Kool-aid." His was nothing special. Emilio's shade of yellow only works on a very small percentage of the population, as both of the white female judges were quick to point out to him. The magenta of Joshua's dress was not a problem. (I happened to have bought a darker magenta dress just recently.) It's his bad taste and poor sewing. That horrid exposed zipper was awful. Ivy's stumbling block is proportion, length and line. Her fabric was cool looking, but she chopped it off and turned it into a dress even Mrs. Roper wouldn't want to wear. |
