Agree about the fabrics (spoilers)   Written by Karen (12/9/2012 5:35 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, I totally agree (spoilers), penned by Isabeau [Back to Board]
Are you new?

I thought that almost all of them looked like prints for casual clothing, not fabrics for red carpet fashions. I really can't think of too many instances in which a celebrity wears a print on the red carpet. That's why I was so surprised that Ivy and Emilio both struggled so much and came in at the bottom - they both had solid fabrics that should have worked well for a red carpet look. I actually liked the dress Ivy sketched out, but I guess it was just too ambitious for her to execute in the time she had. And I don't know what happened to Emilio - it seems very unlike him to send a dress down the runway with an unfinished hem. I guess he spent too much time on the foundation?

I really liked Casanova's design the best out of all of them, and was surprised that he didn't wind up in the top 3. Laura Kathleen's was nicely done, but again, it just didn't say "red carpet" to me. Will Carolyn Murphy really wear it to an event? Or will there be another quiet change, as there was with the design that Kenley was supposed to wear to the Emmys last season?
