How I see it/other remarks about the race   Written by BarbaraB (11/19/2012 1:44 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Amazing Race - spoilers, penned by Karmelle [Back to Board]
Are you new?

Teams are not allowed to check in without a passport and so they had to try and go find the lost one since other teams were still out and one would assume still had theirs. If the Rockers had been the last team the first time they would not have had to go back out but once all the other teams had checked in they were allowed to come in and either go home for being in last place with or without the passport or as it turned out to be a non-elimination stop, continue in the race without it until they either found the missing passport or had to go to another country and could not produce both passports or were eliminated on an elimination round, whichever came first. In short, you can't check in without a passport before teams who still have theirs. Does that help? :)

I really kept hoping the Rockers would quickly recover the lost passport and continue to compete---felt sorry for them. The greatest lessons on this race is staying alert at all times and keeping up with all your belongings which includes first and foremost your passport and then your money and they managed to let both get away from them. Other than that, it was an enjoyable leg. I really loved the the proctor: "The pencils down!" "The next round!" He was playing for all it was worth, and obviously having a good time. I was laughing so much. And the cabbies!...the eclectically dressed one with the cigarette: What. A. Hoot! The one who wanted his pastry and coffee and the one who had been a taxi driver for thirty some years made those segments rather enjoyable to watch. And I loved watching the Russian dancing rounds. All in all a lot of fun. Just wished it could have been a back to back non-elimination round for the sake of the Rockers. Getting close to the finish line!
