] Usually i come away from GR of JA novels with new understanding and greater pleasure in the novel. This was not the case with S&S.

What I enjoyed most about S&S were the supporting characters: Mrs. Jennings, Sir John Middleton, the Steele sisters, and the horribleness of John and Fanny Dashwood. I must confess that the two heroines' stories left me just a little cold, though I will certainly come back to this novel for some of JA's classic lines!
