While I wanted to rant about how much I hate Willoughby, more capable keyboards then mine have all ready done so to my pleasure. So instead, I would like to pose a question that came up in one of the threads below: What would have happened if Col. Brandon and Mrs Dashwood had returned while Willoughby was "confessing" to Elinor?

I can imagine Mrs Dashwood going straight to Marianne, but I cannot decide if the good Col. would have kept control of himself or thrown the cad right out on his ear.
