] Can anyone think of some other parallels in the stories?

They both have hypocritical brothers! I think John is worse than Laertes because there is such lack of feeling in him; he's a cold hypocrite, where Laertes is almost as excessively emotional as Marianne is in S&S. And Laertes makes a good end, repenting of his faults, which more than I expect from John Dashwood. But both John and Laertes could benefit from a good SUTH, I say.
