GR - Fatherless, single females   Written by Debra Mc (9/10/2003 1:05 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, GR: Puppet heiresses, penned by Barbara
Are you new?

] I think it is interesting that all of these heiresses are without the protection of their fathers,

That is intersting Barbara! It made me think of more fatherless ladies in the novel:
SIngle:
Elinor and Marianne

Married - but it appears their fathers were gone before their marriages:
Fanny
Charlotte
Lady Middleton

With so few fathers living, I begin to understand Marianne's ealier comments about Colonel Brandon's age :)
