] ...on behalf of Elinor. She's a worthier match in far more than just social status. There's intellect, character, personality, and humor, (to name just a few), that make Elinor a vastly superior match for Edward than Lucy, irregardless of social status.

I meant in terms of what Fanny Dashwood and Mrs. Ferrars would deem 'worth'. I don't think they could care less about intellect, character, personality, humour, or anything other than money and social status. Elinor is 'worthier' (in their estimation) to be Edward's wife, but Lucy is the one who is gaining in their favour because she is willing to play this phony/flattery game and Elinor is not.
