GR: Marianne is so seventeen   Written by Linden (8/28/2003 7:00 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, GR: Feeding her offensiveness, penned by Cheryl
Are you new?

] I've never been a real Marianne fan, but I've also never really, actively disliked her, as I'm finding myself doing this read. And I'm finding that whole thing interesting. Is it my age and the fact that I have to deal with whiny teens in daily life and so have not the patience to do so in fictional life as well? I don't know.

Funny: I'm finding Marianne more tolerable now than I've previously done. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that my two kids are now splendid people in their early twenties; I see what Marianne can become.

On this read, I'm more worried about Elinor. If she's like this at nineteen, what is she going to be like at forty?
