in consequence of the missive, GR: And I was thinking..., penned by Kristen G.
So quick bright things come to confusion. There are so many lines and situations from this play that can apply to this story! ] ...that Willoughby is like Demetrius to Marianne's Helena: IIRC, D wooed Helena only to change his mind and want Hermia. And Marianne/Helena doesn't take this news calmly and rationally; both are willing to risk their reputation to try to get their man back. The whole mis-matched lovers theme and people wanting the wrong person runs all through this story. Much of this could equally be applied to the Elinor/Edward/Lucy triangle as well. |
