] There are some gems this week.

Oh yes! I had marked that 'most rapacious' quote, and also KateL's about the gentle reprimand.

Here's another exchange I loved:

Lucy Steele: "I love to see children full of life and spirits; I cannot bear them if they are tame and quiet."

"I confess," replied Elinor, "that while I am at Barton Park, I never think of tame and quiet children with any abhorrence."

I not only LOL at this, but I have thought it to myself on more than one occasion!
