In this group read I am focusing on parallels and similarities. One of them concerns Col. Brandon, Edward and Willoughby: all three have left suddenly with no explanation. What are these gentlemen about? Each seems to have some secret or seems to be concealing something. There are a couple of others concerning these three but we have not read far enough to allow me to mention them at this time.

In general secrets and concealments are a major thread in this section. I am also wondering about Edward and that lock of hair. Why need he be so embarrassed about it and for such a long time at that? Hmmmmmm.
Another thing I noticed is that privacy is a luxury. If people don't already know your business, they are quite busy trying to find it out!
