GR: Tipping the boat..   Written by Lizzi M. (8/19/2003 12:54 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, GR: Elinor frightened?, penned by Art
Are you new?

] About the only thing I could think of was that maybe Elinor was nervous about sailing on the "noble piece of water", and not just because of the probable dampness. Perhaps she couldn't swim?

I have also been wondering about that. I was thinking that maybe, knowing Sir John, she was afraid the people in the boat would be so boisterous that they would tip it over, or come close to it.

Or maybe she was just afraid somebody would splash her :0)
