Are you new?

] The "wet through" and "fatigued" I could see; but "frightened"? So far, Elinor has not shown any propensity to be frightened -- certainly not by anything encountered in the previous chapters. What new danger could be lurking at Whitwell?

I don't understand that either. Thanks for asking the question, I've been wondering about it for some time.
