] she is interested in only the welfare of her family circle and selfish and mean to everyone outside of it.

Even within the family circle, she picks and chooses who gets treated poorly or well. Despite her assertion that half blood isn't really family, the Dashwood girls are her sisters-in-law. I doubt anyone could say she's interested in their welfare, and keep a straight face. (-;
