I'm doing a careful (read: slow) read which is a luxury for me and this sentence in Chapter One made me laugh so hard it hurt: "He was not an ill-disposed young man, unless to be rather cold-hearted, and rather selfish, is to be ill-disposed..."
And people wonder why JA is my favourite author! ;-) The language is glorious and it is a privilege to have the time to savour it, yes?
